DE JOODE/DRAKSLER/RAVE
Dutch improv legend Wilbert de Joode, winner of the Buma Boy Edgar Prijs in 2016, is praised for his instantly recognizable and intriguing sound and his great talent in listening and collaborating. Tonight he plays with two young female musicians residing in Amsterdam. Kaja Draksler is a jazz pianist and composer originally from Slovenia, active in Čudars-Draksler Duo, Feecho, BadBooshBand, Draksler-Santos Silva duo, the interdisciplinary group I/O and her own Octet. Ada Rave is an Argentinian saxophonist, improviser and composer. She is active in projects such as New Rumours & Other Noises, her own Ada Rave Trio featuring Wilbert de Joode and the Felicity Provan Quinet. Besides playing music she is the initiator and organizer of the Free Improvisation jam session monthly at De Ruimte.

FRANK ROSALY
Frank Rosaly is a drummer and composer living in Chicago. He has been involved in the improvised and experimental music community since 2001 where he has become an integral part of Chicago’s musical fabric, navigating a fine line between the vibrant improvised music, experimental, rock and jazz communities. He contributes much of his time to performing, composing, teaching, as well as organizing musical events, while also touring regularly domestically and internationally.
