ONE SMALL STEP TRIO
Janne Eraker is a Norwegian / German tap dancer, working mostly in Norway, the Netherlands and Germany. Her background is modern and contemporary dance. Janne researches the artistic possibilities of tap dance in the context of genres and areas like music, contemporary dance and art. Trio One Small Step combines improvised minimalistic music with tap dance, fiddle and double bass, with elements of jazz, contemporary music and Norwegian folk music.

Janne Eraker – tap dance | Roger Arntzen – double bass | Vegar Vårdal (fiddles)

With special guests Marije Nie and Doortje Peters (tap dance):

Doortje Peters is an Amsterdam based tapdancer and allround performer. At the age of 6 she started tapdancing with tap teacher Marike Hetjes. In her projects she experiments with the most various genres like jazz, classical music, funk, house and hiphop. With her company Tappin-It Collective she works on longer theatrical tap performances and last summer she was part of physical theatre spectacle MARE by Theatergezelschap Vis à Vis.

Tap dancer Marije Nie is a musician with her feet, a dancing percussion player. She is fascinated by the power and the poetry of steps, and their ability to navigate many different worlds.
Marije’s dancing transforms traditional tap-dance into a contemporary form; she builds bridges between different artistic disciplines, traditions and cultures. Ms Nie works in classical music, jazz, film and theater, creates interdisciplinary theater pieces, community art projects, interventions and workshops.
