Naakt in Noord Saunaconcert: Grøn

Saturday, June 14th, sauna open at 5 PM, admission is € 5, Grøn will perform around 21 PM in our garage. We will collect donations after the concert.

Copenhagen label Infinite Waves’ linchpin project Grøn will do a set in our garage, for a completely different sauna experience.

The results of Grøn’s creative outlet definitely deserve to be preserved, although Infinite Waves’ use of the tape format fits the music perfectly by underlining the project’s shadowy sound. Characteristically ghostlike the music simultaneously sounds present and absent. Perhaps most accurately described as “cathartic drone” or “lo-fi ambient”, Grøn’s “Unheimliche” and alluring mental soundscapes are at once gritty and aesthetically beautiful. The music combines a number of sources such as instruments, field recordings, effects, and tapes, and May and June of 2014 will see Grøn taking their setup through Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands for a live tour.
