New monthly live music night by the curators of The 2nd Stop is Jupiter: cocktails, laidback music and DJ’s in a cosy campfire setting at our terrace.

A trio by three musicians from all over the literal and not so literal map: Singer, percussionist and musical explorer Mola Sylla from Dakar, Senegal; improviser, composer and eclectic musician Oscar Jan Hoogland on keys; and drummer Frank Rosaly, a key figure of Chicago’s improvisation and experimental music community.

Traditional Anatolian music. Giray Gürkal is a guitarist, improvisor, composer and sound designer born in Istanbul. Eva Hoogland is a Dutch singer of traditional music from Turkey.

The musicians of Limonchiki have different backgrounds, coming from folk music, jazz, reggae/ska, and classical music, but found each other in the huge variety of extraordinary rhythms and harmonies of the Balkan peninsula. With a keen ear for tradition and authenticity Limonchiki makes a fresh interpretation of romantic songs and spirited dances from all corners of the Balkan. Expect Turkish and Bulgarian Trakija, Greek Rembetika and Epirotika, Bosnian Sevdah and more!
