FILMKLUB screens forgotten and less forgotten movies introduced by (in)experts, enjoyed and discussed by all of us with a drink afterwards. Last season we were hosted by Corridor Projectspace in Amsterdam Oost, this November we will have our first movie night at De Ruimte.

The 7th edition of FILMKLUB features a movie chosen by Jeroen Vernooij. Jeroen is involved in the Amsterdam open air movie festival Pluk de Nacht; works at HvA during the day; and has a secret passion for singing and the history of tourism by night. He will discuss with us the ways in which the ‘tourist gaze’ is employed and criticized in his movie of choice.

The name of the movie that will be screened? That remains a surprise!
