Drasler/Resnik Trio

Drasler/Resnik Trio

Yes, it is a trio, made up of Vid and Jost Drasler and Cene Resnik. These three guys represent some of Slovenia’s finest creative musicians. Drasler/Resnik Trio is a research trio, trying to embrace melodies, all kinds of sounds and rhythms, not structures. Walking on the edge, where material is perceptible, touchable, but also fragile. So they are involved and dealing with a musical crafting in a large creative field of music. The aim of this trio is to gain new experiences, new musical connections with audiences elsewhere in Europe and other countries, of course. A live performance of Drasler/Resnik Trio is a new experience for the band and audiences alike.

Cene Resnik – Tenor saxophone
Jošt Drašler – Double bass
Vid Drašler – Drums

Guus Janssen

Guus and Wim Janssen

World famous pianist and composer Guus Janssen teams up with his brother Wim for a unique concert. While they’ve performed together numerous times, De Ruimte has the honor to host their first performance as a duo. As a pianist and harpsichordist, Guus performed in various groupings with musicians from John Zorn to Gidon Kremer. His music can be a composed improvisation (Brake for pianosolo) or an improvised composition (parts from his Violin Concerto or his opera Noach). Music is like life itself, sometimes it asks for fast decisions and sometimes it needs to be thought over a lot. Guus’ brother Wim is a creative mind that unleashes his ideas and thoughts both on a drum kit as well as on a canvas. His music is characterised by sphere and melody. Having played together with his brother Guus from a young age, we’re more than happy and excited to witness their first public performance as a duo.
