FUNDRAISING DINNER

Fundraising dinner to kick off our crowdfunding campaign through Voordekunst. An evening full of the most amazing food that our already ridiculously good cooks of John Pastinaak at De Verkeerstoren can make, with a performance by renowned jazz saxofone player Ab Baars with viola player Ig Henneman and literary interventions by absurd short fiction writer Joubert Pignon.
Dinner, program and a welcome drink for € 30 (of which € 10 will go to our crowdfunding campagin) or more if you want to make a bigger contribution. Send an e-mail to info@cafederuimte.nl to make a reservation.
THE MENU:
* Spicy paprika soup with capers and basil
* Salad of lettuce from the garden, tarragon, roasted tomato and a soft egg
* Mashed orange and endive, roasted fennel and summer carrots, crispy old cheese crisp and a beurre blanc of star anise
* Fresh strawberries with basil and black pepper on lemon yogurt

Alto-violinist Ig Henneman and reed player Ab Baars have been playing together regularly since 1980 and form an internationally acclaimed duo since 1999. As seperate band leaders they are amongst the most important voices of Dutch jazz and improvised music.

Joubert Pignon
Joubert Pignon (1978) debuteerde in het onheilsjaar 2012 met de roman-in-korte-verhalen Er gebeurde o.a. niets. Dit boek werd genomineerd voor de Academica Literatuurprijs, maar won de prijs niet. Tussen zijn boek Huil maar ik wens je uitstel toe (2015) en Er gebeurde o.a. niets in schreef Pignon een theaterstuk: Waar beren drinken, een geweigerde roman: Dierenkerkhof nummer drie, en reportages en verhalen voor o.a. Nieuwe Revu, HP/De Tijd, De Revisor, De Titaan en Das Magazin. Joubert Pignon is een graag geziene gast op voorleespodia als Lowlands, Crossing Border en de Boekennacht.
