HARMEN FRAANJE SOLO
Dutch pianist Harmen Fraanje is according to All About Jazz ‘emerging as one of the most impressive young European pianists of the past decade.’ This extremely all-round musician, active in almost all possible scenes in all possible countries has an intense and powerful musical signature which can be described in words as sweet, tender and honest, but also wilful, whipping, highly creative and in the moment.

GOUDSMIT/DE JOODE/VATCHER
Guitar player Anton Goudsmit is one of the best known jazz musicians in The Netherlands, not just because he’s funny or because his guitar strap has a leopard print, but foremost because of the strength of his compositions and the incredible energy. He can play steaming funk and blues as easily as tranquil chamber music, and is also a fascinating improviser. When we asked him to play at Space is the Place, he asked for what is perhaps the best rhythm section of Amsterdam: Michael Vatcher on drums and Wilbert de Joode on double bass.
