Space is the Place: Tim Daisy & Jasper Stadhouders & Eric Boeren & Michael Moore & Ernst Glerum
Wednesday, April 22, 21h, entrance € 9
Since moving to Chicago in 1997, Tim Daisy became one of the leaders of Chicago’s thrilling free jazz and improvised music scene. This busy drummer, also playing vibes and marimba, is famous for its raw energy combined with inimitable, subtle and sometimes even funky whisperings. Tim is a guy you’d really want so hear and see live on stage.
Tonight in de Ruimte a one-off, quite impressive Dutch-impro-heroes-formation will play with Tim. Curator Jasper Stadhouders (guitar) called the most famous cornet player of Koog aan de Zaan -Eric Boeren- and he said without any doubt: yeah! Clarinet and alt saxophonist Michael Moore always surprises on stage with new sounds between excessively romantic and forbidding furious. And Ernst Glerum is the most versatile bass player of Amsterdam-Oost. They will play improvisations and compositions by Tim Daisy, Jasper Stadhouders and Michael Moore.
