Komorebi means “sunlight filters through the trees” or “the interplay between the light and the leaves”. Komorebi makes music inspired by nature.

ZIV TAUBENFELD & MICHAEL MOORE
These Amsterdam based clarinet players form a duo of two generations of improvisers with a distinctive style. Taubenfeld and Moore got to know each other in Groningen, as a student and a teacher at the Prins Claus Conservatory. Moore has been a very active musician and organiser in the jazz scene of Amsterdam, Israeli Taubenfeld is a fascinating personality with a powerful, energetic sound that can instantly switch to delicate tones. They will play compositions and improvised music.

CATHY HEYDEN & ROGIER SMAL DUO
International saxophone and drums duo. Connecting the dots between the vast Paris and Amsterdam music scenes. Wild jazz explorations with hints of noise, spirituals and punk.

Cathy Heyden is a autodidact sax improviser who enjoys encounters with other musicians, dancers, comedians, poets and performers from all over the world such as Faust, Ganguru, Geoff Leigh, Jac Berrocal, Lost woman, Morihide Sawada and Uwe Bastiansen.

Rogier Smal is a drummer who experiments with free percussion sounds. He plays with different groups, musicians and solo. Lately Rogier has been lucky enough to have been making sonic waves of liberty with gems like: Marshall Allen, Dylan Carlson, David Birchall, Eugene Chadbourne and many many more.
