Join us again for this festive and danceable night exploring the clave!

From Sub-Saharan Africa to Cuba and South-America, where it’s at the root of musical genres such as salsa, rumba, conga, son, reggae and dancehall. This year we will explore the clave, the rhythmic pattern that ties a whole world of music together.
Uruguayan musician Miguel Petruccelli invites musicians that share a love for the clave, to make your heart beat to its rhythm.

Paweł Doskocz focuses on playing improvised music, and draws his inspiration from many sources. Doskocz co-created the bands Bachorze, Sumpf and Strętwa and collaborated with many improvisers such as Jasper Stadhouders, Yedo Gibson, Onno Govaert, Seppe Gebruers, Andrew Lisle, Colin Webster, Dirk Serries and many more.
He is also co-organizer of the “Spontaneous Music Festival” in Poznan (PL).

Argentinian pianist Nicolás Chientaroli moved to Amsterdam with his wife Ada Rave in 2013. Together they quickly became an integral part of the music community not only because of their improvisational prowess but also for hosting a number of new music series in town including the Impro Jam and Instant Music Day.

As a pianist Nico has developed a very personal way of playing, exploring and expanding the boundaries of his instrument. In reviews his music has been described as a “magnificent and extraordinary journey of sound. Some improvisations enable beautifully structured and impressively melodic textures to surface.”

Waywardly swinging interpretations of Angolan popular guitar music from the sixties and seventies. Because of their limited number of gigs, Bazooka has become cult band.
