Bring your instrument or come to draw, write or dance! Initiated and curated by Ada Rave.

OPENING DUO
Elsa van der Linde – saxophone | Pau Sola Masafrets – cello

ELSA VAN DER LINDEN
does research in catching the moment, through listening, performing and documenting. As a musician and scenographer she is interested in the unexpected happenings of the surroundings. She plays with the saxophone as instrument and the space as co-performer. Improvisation is for her a perfect tool to listen to what is already there and use that as the starting point to create a moment specific experience. Elsa is part of improvisation ensemble BUI and theatre collective Ellipsis.

PAU SOLA MASAFRETS
is a cellist, improviser, and composer for whom the body in space is the expressive material with which to perform, using the cello as a tool. In his compositions, he often draws inspiration from poetry, other art forms, and music from around the world. Pau has a diverse background in contemporary classical cello, improvisation, and cello jazz with a focus on Carnatic music, as well as training in somatic dance practice. In addition to his own project, the Pau Sola Quintet, which explores the concept of time through the use of poetry and improvisation, Pau is also a member of various projects at the intersection of contemporary jazz, contemporary classical, music theatre, and performance.
