From this edition on, the second Friday of every month at De Ruimte at De Verkeerstoren is a two-stage rocket: from 21:00 to 23:00 dOeK and Space Is The Place present two live acts – one Doek ensemble and one solo performance. After that, the party-party starts with the wildest live music in town!

Cactus Truck creates startlingly intense music, not merely in terms of volume or velocity but through complete physical/psychological surrender. One can find hints of delta blues, early free jazz, Japanese noise, and no wave in the music.

Wilbert De Joode is currently one of the most active bass players on the European improvised music circuit. His individual style and musicality transforms the double bass into an equal partner in the most varied ensembles. A personal tone colour, exploration of the outer registers, quirky improvisations and the use of gut strings contribute to an instantly recognizable and intriguing sound.
