Space is the Place: Nonac + Swamb XS

August 22, 2015

NONAC is a Spanish, Mexican, Polish, Dutch band, playing something like a kraut-post rock-math rock with some Ethiopian jazz, no guitars by the way, just two bass guitars, drums a trumpet and a sax. They just finished and released their first album under a small label from Spain called Vagueness Records.

The diverse sounds of analoge synths (oa moog, polysix, juno) merge with the wooden sounds of the guitar and the warm tones of the French horn. Swamb is constantly seeking a balance between electronic sounds and acoustic instruments. Minimal soundscapes become dark, bombastic grooves. There is a lot of room for improvisations.
