It’s not easy to say what this duo will show in De Ruimte, every encounter is as the first. This collaboration between two talented, creative and young musicians Jorrit Westerhof and Morten Poulsen has been going on for over three years, without them living in the same country.

Their performances integrate disciplines such as performance, absurd theatre, pop and rock songs (improvised or shamelessly stolen), and sometimes even jazz standards. Be there!

IPA is a vivacious quintet with some of the leading players in the European jazzscene, with members from a.o. Atomic, The Thing, Angels Trondheim Jazzorchestra and Motif. All About Jazz reviewed their latest album ‘Bubble’: The close affinity of IPA musicians contributes to its powerful and tight interplay and to its approach, a fresh, wildly rhythmic and imaginatively melodic update of the American free jazz of the Sixties. IPA is still one of the best kept secrets in the fertile Nordic musical scenery. “Bubble” proves again and again what a great band it is.
