What happens if an artist can work completely anonymously? Will the artist feel so free that s/he will try something completely new? Will the audience still care?

Tonight is the opening of the first of four exhibitions of R. MUTT: various artists working anonymously under one pseudonym borrowed from the late great Marcel Duchamp.

Schedule of this 17 hour (!) event celebrating anonimity, as part of 24H Noord:

14:00 – 17:00 R. Mutt exhibition, button making with George Washington, mask making with Victor Schadow, face painting, dressing up box, and pancakes
17:00 – 22:00 Dinner with anonymous DJ
22:00 – 23:00 Opening anonymous live act
23:00 – 01:00 Anonymous DJ
01:00 – 03:00 Anonymous live act
03:00 – 07:00 Anonymous DJ mixed with anonymous live acts
07:00 – 07:30 Surprise act

Leave your identity at the door and get taken to uncharted musical territories by anonymous DJ’s. Screaming sounds of saxophone and guitars of unknown musicians from all over will put you in transcendent discomfort. Soft landing with breakfast and solo concert early the next morning.
