Every week Going Native takes you on a trip to a country, with a local dish and a movie to match it. This week we are going to Brazil. We are still in the dark about the menu but we know we’ll be screening The Man Who Copied.

André makes copies at a bookstore for a living. He falls in love with his neighbor Silvia, whom he spies on with a telescope. To impress her he comes up with a counterfeit scam. Disguised as a romantic comedy The Man Who Copied takes a dark turn halfway to become an intricate crime movie. Hold on to your caipirinha’s, this film is quite a ride.
