All things come to an end. After 11 years, it’s time to say goodbye, so long and farewell De Ruimte. We look forward to celebrate the legacy of De Ruimte with you all in the coming months of November and December, Join us as we explore the past and look to the future.
This evening an interdisciplinary evening that revolves around words and transience – with poets (mainly in Dutch), music & experiment.
Het laatste woord, het laatste noord, het laatste oord, het laatste oor. Verdwijnende woorden, noorden, oorden en oren. Wie zegt wat, nu er nog iets te zeggen is?
Een interdisciplinaire avond die draait om woorden en vergankelijkheid.
Verwacht onder andere dichters, muziek, experiment, maar vooral: woorden waarop je kunt dansen, woorden waarin je kunt verdwijnen.

Is an entertainer. Language, music, silly games, improvised characters… anything goes as long as she’s celebrating the pleasure and importance of coming together, here and now in the same room. Ironically, it was during her time at the Mime School in Amsterdam that she really developed her appetite for experimenting with voice and language.
COMMUNE N
Commune N is an optimistic collective on a sinking ship. Their productions involve adaptations of translated literary texts
relationship with music and visual arts. In the projects of Commune N participated the following artists: COW Shift Z compositions / electronics), Julie Kurris (voice), Joske Koning (voice), Michal van Zelm (translations/editing), Jenny Lindblom (visuals). The original lyrics were by Josefine Klougart and Victoria Kielland.

THE HOBKNOBS
The Hobknobs are Yaël Dekker (The Klittens) and Arie van Vliet (Lewsberg), who have finally started working together after listening to each other’s music for years. They balance out their innate love for rules with a healthy disdain for authority.
JENTE DE MOTTE
Mime performer Jente de Motte made the audience of De Ruimte feel beautifully uncomfortable and hooked to her presence last year performing at The 2nd Stop is Jupiter.
About her work Jente says:
My work is tragicomedy about humanity and their confusions, their wishes, their failures
goals, their hopelessness. Their heroic efforts, attempts to understand what this is, this life, this reality, our reality.
My work attempts to show people that nothing is certain and yet my work is about searching
truth, the truth, even if it is only there for a moment.
Hendrik de Pecker (1995) is dichter, schrijver en theatermaker. In zijn werk zoekt hij naar hoop en waar je dat kan vinden in een uitzichtloze tijd. Door middel van tragikomische, maar stiekem toch poëtische teksten probeert hij de wereld iets mooier en misschien zelfs grappiger te maken. Hij trad op als dichter op Lowlands, Dichters in de Prinsentuin en de Zwarte Cross. Hij werkte bij Dries Verhoeven en schreef voorstellingen die onder andere te zien waren op theaterfestival de Parade en Karavaan festival.
Nilay Ceber is schrijver, regisseur en performer. Ze houdt zich vooral bezig met de absurditeit van actuele thema’s. Ceber creëert een wereld waar taal, beweging en muziek tot een poëtisch geheel samenkomen. Ook geeft ze hierover les aan verschillende kunstacademie.
